  New HK General Manager

David Wilson, the Group Managing Director, recently announced the appointment of Mike Binns as General Manager of our Hong Kong and China business.

These comprise the following : -

  • GELEC (HK) Ltd. - Our new industrial products company (formerly GEC Trading)
  • HEI Ltd. - Equipment
  • Shriro (HK) Ltd. - Photography and Sports
  • Shriro Machinery Ltd. - Cranes
  • Peninsula Engineering & Equipment Co. Ltd. - Material Handling Equipment
  • Shriro Graphic Ltd. - Ink, Industrial Film
  • V. Lee (HK) Co. Ltd. - See's Candies

David Wilson said "Mike, will take up his responsibilities over the next few months.

There will be a transitional period in Malaysia where Mike will work closely with the Regional Managing Director, Vernon Neal, until a permanent succession arrangement can be made.

Mike has done a very good job in managing our Malaysian business for the past 10 years. Previously he has worked in Indonesia and Thailand as well as Hong Kong. Products that he has handled range from tractors to measuring instruments, cameras to ceiling and floor installations.

I am sure that you will join me in wishing him every success in his new position in Hong Kong."


 

New See's Candies Store

Jimmy Wan, Managing Director of Shriro (HK) Ltd. and Vivien Lee recently opened the latest See¡¦s Candies Shop in Festival Walk, Kowloon Tong.

This shop is very well located at the top of an escalator in this huge shopping mall in the heart of Kowloon.

Early indications are that the store will be extremely successful offering the highest quality American chocolate to eager Kowloon chocolate lovers.

Picture shows Jimmy and Vivien with Apple, our shop manager, inside the new store.

Vivien said, "This new store has already proven to be so successful that we are looking for a fourth site to offer our great preservative free See¡¦s candies to more Hong Kong consumers".


 

Expanded HEI China Facility

HEI, have just opened an expanded sales and service facility in Panyu in Guangdong, China.

HEI is the agent for Bobcat, E-Z-Go, Jacobsen and other Textron equipment lines.

The new facility will incorporate a showroom and will employ a total of 7 people deployed in sales and service .

Arix Lai, the HEI Managing Director said, "In our new showroom we are displaying Bobcat and Wacker equipment but will extend that to other products as we obtain permits".
